ZHENGZHOU, China, March 07, 2025 — The Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, located in Henan province, central China, is attracting global investors as a hub of opportunity. Approved by China’s State Council in 2013, it stands as the nation’s first aviation economic pilot zone.
The Zone boasts a “four-port linkage” – airport, railway, road, and ocean – creating a comprehensive transportation network that facilitates the integration of businesses into global industrial and supply chains. According to the Party and Mass Work Department of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Zhengzhou Airport’s cargo and postal throughput ranks among the top 40 globally, with cargo routes connecting to 28 countries and 62 cities, covering major world economies. The core international dry port area’s west operation area, the only national China-Europe freight train assembly center in central and eastern China, is now operational. It anticipates supporting the distribution of “10,000 trains and 10 million tons” of cargo by 2035.
The zone is dedicated to developing a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster. It features trillion-level electronic information industry clusters, including Foxconn, xFusion, and Loongson, alongside hundred-billion-level new energy vehicle industry clusters led by BYD, Skyworth, and Geely, and biomedical industry clusters centered on Zhongyuan Medical Science City. Central China’s largest intelligent computing center’s 10000P class computing power cluster project is slated for full operation in the first quarter. Furthermore, the zone is focusing on strategic emerging industries like aerospace satellites, exhibition trade, and new materials, while also planning for future industries such as new energy storage and artificial intelligence.
Since its establishment in 2012, Foxconn’s Zhengzhou factory has produced over 1.2 billion smartphones, solidifying its position as the world’s largest intelligent terminal production base. Last year, BYD’s new energy vehicle production reached 545,000 units, a 169.8% increase. Additionally, China’s largest server production line, located here, generates an annual output value of 49.5 billion yuan, marking a 75% increase.
To enhance its appeal as an investment destination, Zhengzhou Air Port Area has implemented the “unified ten” business environment reform, offering global businesses a market-oriented, legalized, and internationally competitive business environment, alongside efficient and convenient comprehensive support services.
Looking ahead, Zhengzhou Aviation Port Area aims to establish itself as an advanced manufacturing center, a business logistics hub, an innovation and entrepreneurship center, a creative fashion center, and a talent hub, inviting global businesses to participate in its second “golden decade” of growth and share in its development benefits.
