Consistent Growth in Domestic and International Sales: Walrus Pump Drives Industry Supply Chain Modernization

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Dec. 17, 2024 — Taiwan’s leading pump manufacturer, Walrus Pump (TPEX: 6982), recently presented its pre-listing financial performance in November. The company provides a diverse range of pump solutions, serving applications from residential water supply and agricultural irrigation to sophisticated industrial processes. Its products support both daily life and high-tech industries, including data centers and fast-charging station cooling systems. Through innovation and strategic market positioning, Walrus Pump holds a dominant position in Taiwan’s water pump market.

For the first three quarters of FY2024, the company achieved cumulative revenue of NT$1.227 billion, representing a 15.63% year-over-year increase. Cumulative revenue from January to October totaled NT$1.341 billion, showing a 16.04% year-over-year rise, highlighting strong operational results.

Walrus Pump operates two main manufacturing facilities in Taiwan: the Sanzhi Plant in New Taipei City and the Luzhu Zhengyi Plant in Kaohsiung. Its new Global Plant in Kaohsiung is slated to receive operating permits and begin limited production in the second half of FY2025. In mainland China, the Suzhou Walrus Plant serves as a crucial production center for the domestic and ASEAN markets.

In terms of technological advancements, Walrus Pump operates a pump and motor testing laboratory—the only one in Taiwan certified by both TAF and TUV. This laboratory integrates customer needs into testing and product development, optimizing pump head, flow rate, and motor efficiency. Its customer base spans Europe, the Americas, Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN countries, with expansion plans targeting emerging markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and India. Currently, its sales are 70% domestic and 30% international.

Taiwan’s annual pump market demand is approximately NT$13 billion, with domestically produced pumps accounting for around NT$5 billion and imported pumps comprising the remaining NT$8 billion. Walrus Pump’s competitive pricing and quality offer a distinct advantage over imported pumps, making it the preferred supplier for many domestic businesses. The company is expanding its international operations to further enhance its performance.
