SHENYANG, China, Aug. 20, 2024 — The 4th Shenyang Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference took place in Shenyang, Liaoning province on August 17. Focused on the theme “Vehicle-Road Collaboration Empowers New Quality Productive Forces”, the conference brought together government officials, academic experts, and representatives from 19 pilot cities for “Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration”, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Also present were representatives from vehicle manufacturers and solution providers, alongside leaders from communications and road infrastructure companies. The conference served as a platform to discuss the latest developments and future directions within the intelligent connected vehicle industry.
Several strategic cooperation agreements were signed during the conference. The unveiling ceremony of the strategic partnership between the Shenyang Municipal Government and China Unicom in the area of “Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration” marked the establishment of the China Unicom (Shenyang) Intelligent Connected Vehicles Research Institute. This institute will act as a crucial platform to promote the development of intelligent connected vehicles. Additionally, the Shenyang Municipal Government entered into strategic cooperation agreements with BMW Brilliance, Neusoft Reach, and Beijing Yizhuang Investment Holdings Limited for the application of intelligent connected vehicles and “Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration”. All parties aim to leverage their strengths to deepen collaboration in areas like cloud control platform construction, road-cloud network infrastructure development, and joint operations. This collaboration seeks to achieve a deep integration of the automotive industry and information communication technology with smart cities and intelligent transportation.
During the signing session, Shenyang City reached a consensus on cooperation with 48 enterprises, encompassing various key areas within the intelligent connected vehicle industry. This collaboration will provide strong momentum for the development of Shenyang’s intelligent connected vehicle industry. It will also further promote the construction of intelligent connected road networks, the planning for autonomous driving scenarios, and the aggregation of industry players.
This conference serves not only to inject strong momentum into the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry in Shenyang and across the country but also to provide a platform for communication and cooperation among individuals from all sectors both within and outside the industry.
