Future-Proof Charging Infrastructure for Dynamic Energy Needs
The installation of a high-powered EV charger can put stress on older electrical panels, potentially requiring costly upgrades. ELECQ tackles this issue with an integrated system that includes the Type 2 Home Charger, Power Monitor, and ELECQ App — a smart solution that adapts to real-time household energy demands.
Full Control & Smart Load Management
The ELECQ Type 2 Home Charger provides up to 22 kW of AC charging, combining safety, smart features, and efficiency. Using the ELECQ App, homeowners have the ability to:
- Schedule charging during off-peak hours
- See detailed cost breakdowns for each session
- Export reports and receive over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates
- Track energy usage from solar versus the grid
ELECQ’s intelligent load management system ensures charging that is both safe and efficient for single-family homes as well as setups with multiple chargers.
Within a home, the Power Monitor follows energy usage in real-time and communicates wirelessly with the charger via Wi-SUN. The charger then adjusts its output dynamically to prevent overloads, which enables full-speed charging without the need to upgrade the electrical panel.
For homes with multiple EVs, Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) allows for the intelligent distribution of power across as many as 30 chargers without needing additional equipment. This prevents grid overload, optimizes power consumption, and maximizes the efficiency of the system.
Solar Charging Modes
ELECQ supports three solar charging modes: Only Solar, Solar Priority, and Unlimited. With real-time coordination among solar power, battery storage, and EV load via the Power Monitor, the system adjusts charging dynamically. Smart phase-switching ensures the most efficient use of solar power, even when generation is low.
OCPP — and Future-Proof
ELECQ chargers support direct OCPP integration and are already connected to major platforms like Last Mile Solutions, CLENERGY EV and SINTIO. The system supports:

- Future-ready OTA upgrade to OCPP 2.1
With its dual-channel architecture (Direct OCPP + ELECQ Service Protocol), broad compatibility with both open platforms and proprietary systems is ensured.
