BTCC, a long-standing crypto exchange, broke new ground at the Red Eagle Foundation’s Legends Golf Day by accepting Bitcoin donations for the first time, bypassing traditional financial hurdles and generating significant funds for underprivileged children.
The event, which took place on April 24, 2025, at The Shire London, was a landmark occasion as BTCC pioneered Bitcoin donations for the Red Eagle Foundation, transforming how attendees could support charitable causes. Participants could easily donate Bitcoin using QR codes throughout the venue, overcoming traditional banking restrictions.
The event boasted an impressive group of ten Tottenham Hotspur legends, including Glenn Hoddle, Teddy Sheringham, Ossie Ardiles, Pat Jennings, Paul Miller, Michael Hazard, John Pratt, David Howells, John Lacey, and Mark Falco. Professional golfer Lucy Robson challenged participants in a “Beat the Pro” competition, and Team Barrington James won the championship.
A key moment was Glenn Hoddle’s sharing of stories from his distinguished career and providing insights into the current Tottenham Hotspur team during a Q&A session led by former Chelsea player and sports commentator Scott Minto.
