Kelly Conniff Named Head of Creative at TIME Studios, While Retaining Deputy Editor Role

TIME Studios President Dave O’Connor and TIME Editor in Chief shared the following announcement with staff:

Dear all,

We are delighted to announce Kelly Conniff’s appointment as Head of Creative at TIME Studios. In this new capacity, Kelly will report to Dave O’Connor and collaborate closely with the Studios leadership team to transform TIME’s journalism, events, and programming into innovative television, video, and audio projects. Kelly will also continue her role as TIME’s Deputy Editor, overseeing key special projects, including the Person of the Year selection.

Since joining TIME in 2012, Kelly has been instrumental in managing and supporting numerous significant and impactful editorial initiatives. She will leverage her experience and relationships to bolster existing projects at TIME Studios and develop new ventures. Kelly will focus on extending our impactful journalism to vibrant film and television platforms, where we’ve cultivated valuable partnerships since TIME Studios became an independent entity.

This is a pivotal moment for TIME Studios, which recently garnered five Emmy nominations for its 2023 documentary, THE LIONHEART, building on the success of last year’s Emmy-winning BIG VAPE. We believe TIME Studios’ success hinges on the best ideas from TIME and comprehensive company support. Kelly’s addition to the TIME Studios team is a crucial step in this evolution. We are confident that TIME’s compelling storytelling will flourish across all mediums.
