(SeaPRwire) –   The first-ever TIME100 Next India initiative will highlight 100 up-and-coming Indian leaders across various sectors through an editorial list and gala event in December 2026

In collaboration with Reliance, TIME is set to launch TIME100 Next India—a new addition to its TIME100 Next franchise—honoring the next generation of Indian leaders whose work and vision are shaping the future. This announcement was made on stage during the annual TIME100 Gala in New York City on Thursday by Jessica Sibley, CEO of TIME, and Nita Mukesh Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation.

Curated by TIME’s editorial team, the TIME100 Next India list will recognize 100 emerging leaders from India and its global diaspora who are influencing India’s future across fields like arts, science, business, sports, advocacy, and more. The list will be published online, and the honorees will be celebrated at the TIME100 Next India Gala held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai in December 2026.

“We’re delighted to bring TIME100 Next to India for the very first time,” stated Jessica Sibley, CEO of TIME. “TIME100 Next India reflects our ongoing commitment to recognizing and bringing together the next generation of leaders driving progress across industries and around the world. We’re grateful to Reliance for their partnership in making this a reality.”

“At Reliance, we’re dedicated to building India’s future by empowering the next generation of talent, ideas, and leadership,” shared Mrs. Nita M. Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation. “We’re excited to partner with TIME to host TIME100 Next India at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai, India—marking its first-ever occurrence here. It has always been our vision to bring the best of the world to India and showcase the best of India to the world.”

“TIME100 Next has become one of the most impactful platforms for identifying leaders who will define the decades ahead. Expanding to India allows us to cast a spotlight on an extraordinary generation of emerging talent at a pivotal moment and share their stories with a truly global audience,” noted Dan Macsai, TIME’s Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Editor, who oversees the TIME100 franchise.

The launch of TIME100 Next India marks the latest step in the global expansion of the TIME100 franchise and the first international iteration of TIME100 Next. Since 2021, TIME has organized TIME100 Impact Awards events globally, and through its rapidly growing global events division, has hosted gatherings in cities across five continents.

Further details about the inaugural TIME100 Next India list and gala will be announced in the coming months.
