MANILA, Philippines – Most of the banks will have shortened operating hours due to COVID-19 surge and are closed from Maundy Thursday until Easter Sunday, April 1 to 4, for the observance of Holy Week 2021. View on this page for the updated list of bank schedules.

LIST: Bank schedule ECQ, Holy Week 2021

On Saturday, March 27, President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the implementation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the strictest quarantine status, in Metro Manila and its nearby provinces from March 29 to April 4. With this mandate, there will be a limited movement and only accessing essential goods and services will be allowed.

In compliance with quarantine restrictions, banks in the Greater Manila Area or ‘NCR Plus’ will be on skeleton workforce during the duration of the ECQ.

Earlier, several banks announced adjustments of operations due to the continuing upward trend in COVID-19 infections in the country.

Metrobank

Metrobank is taking proactive measures to help protect both their customers and Metrobankers from the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.

With this, some of their branches are closed from March 29 to 31. See updated list here: https://metrobank.com.ph/closed-branches.

Meanwhile, open Metrobank branches observe shortened banking hours:

  • Branches are open, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Clearing time for all check deposits done over-the-counter is moved from 3:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Branches will be closed during local and national holidays.

This means that Metrobank branches are closed on April 1 to 4.

“We encourage everyone to stay safe and use Metrobank Online and the Metrobank Mobile App for your banking needs. If you need to withdraw or deposit cash, you can check out available ATM or cash-accept machines near you,” the bank said.

BDO Unibank

Branches will be open from March 29 to 31 up to 3 pm (Monday to Wednesday).

They will suspend operations on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday (April 1 and 2).

“During this time, we encourage you to bank safely from home with BDO Digital Banking, BDO Mobile Banking and BDO Pay,” BDO said.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)

Due to the current surge of COVID-19 cases, BPI encouraged clients to:

1. Stay home and do everyday banking transactions via their online and mobile app.

2. Do cashless transactions, but if needed, their ATMs and Cash Accept Machines are available nationwide.

3. If you need to visit their branch, the following safety protocols are strictly implemented:

a. Banking hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for all regular branches, 10am to 4pm for some of mall branches

b. Regular updates of temporarily closed branches: See list at www.bpi.com.ph

c. Social distancing, face masks and face shields are required inside our branches

PS Bank

ALL PSBank Branches Nationwide will have SHORTENED BANKING HOURS 8:30 am to 3pm except Cavite-Imus Lancaster, Cebu Lapu-Lapu, & Cebu Consolacion.

Philippine National Bank (PNB)

From March 22 until April 16, PNB’s nationwide branch banking hours (except for mall-based and NAIA branches) shall be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.



Security Bank

Security Bank will observe shortened banking hours of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in all branches within the NCR Plus bubble due to ECQ. This will be strictly implemented starting March 29 (Monday) until April 4, 2021 (Sunday) in ALL NCR, Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, and Cavite branches.

Branch operations in other areas not mentioned are expected to continue as usual.


United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB)

Select UCPB branches will have shortened banking hours from March 22 to April 4. For the complete list of branches, please visit https://www.ucpb.com/advisories/.

All UCPB branches will also be closed on Holy Thursday and Good Friday, April 1 and 2, 2021. Regular banking operations will resume on Easter Monday, April 5, 2021.

China Bank

All China Bank branches will implement banking hours of 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Check clearing cut-off time is 3:00 pm.

For your convenience and protection, China Bank urge you to please use their digital channels, at your service 24/7 — Mobile App, Online Banking, Phone Banking, and ATMs.

For mall-located branches, please get in touch with your branch of account.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)

In compliance with the ECQ guidelines, RCBC branches in the following areas will have adjusted banking hours beginning March 29 to 31, 2021:

In Metro Manila and Rizal, select RCBC Branches will be open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Check list of open branches at https://www.rcbc.com/branch-advisory.

RCBC Branches in the other ECQ areas of Bulacan, Laguna and Cavite will also be open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

All RCBC Branches in non-ECQ areas will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM unless otherwise adjusted by the LGU.

All RCBC Branches will be closed in observance of the Holy Week from April 1 to 4, 2021.

Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCom)

In observance of the Lenten Season, PBCOM Branches will be closed on April 1 (Thursday) and 2(Friday) 2021.
Meanwhile, you may continue your banking transactions through their digital banking channels POP (PBCOM Online Platform) and PBCOMobile.


Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK)

Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP)

DBP branches will remain open and operate on shortened banking hours from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, starting March 22, 2021 until further notice.

Please be advised that DBP will be undergoing systems upgrade this week.

ATM services will be temporarily unavailable from Wednesday, March 31 up to Sunday, April 4, 2021:

  • DBP ATMs will be unavailable
  • DBP cardholders will be unable to use their cards in other banks’ ATMs
  • Please plan and conduct your ATM transactions ahead of this scheduled activity.
