MANILA, Philippines — The January 2022 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) or teachers board exam results, together with the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools for Elementary and Secondary levels are released online between March 7-25, 2022 or in 24-38 working days after the exam.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the Second Batch of LET board exam during the COVID-19 pandemic on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in at least 30 testing centers nationwide.
This is in accordance to Resolution No. 1363 “to divide the examinees into batches in order to comply with the established health protocols.” As announced, there are more or less 170,000 examinees for LET 2021 after previous postponements due to the pandemic. The first batch of exam was held successfully on September 2021. The third and last batch of exams are scheduled on March 27, 2022 and June 26, 2022, respectively.
Note: Licensure exams in Manila, Butuan, Lucena City and Romblon were postponed during the first batch of LET pursuant to the directives of the concerned Local Government Units. Affected examinees were included in the second batch of LET.
Testing centers include NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Occidental Mindoro, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bohol, Catanduanes, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Jolo, Sulu, Kidapawan, Masbate, Palawan, Romblon, and Tawi-tawi.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
The schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams will be announced once results are out online.
The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
- Notice of Admission (for identification only);
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
- two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
- two sets of documentary stamps;
- 1 piece short brown envelope.
PRC said that successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
Due to pandemic, oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be done virtual or online. The online oathtaking application system (e-oath) can be accessed at Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
LET board exam’s verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The January 2022 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary – General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary – General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).
The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Only Mathematics (under Specialization subject) was allowed to use calculator in conjunction with specific features. The modification is pursuant to Resolution No. 25, series of 2019 issued by the Board for Professional Teachers.
To pass the LET, aspirant must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.
Note that passing the teacher licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021, the target release of January 2022 LET board exam result is on Friday, March 11 or in 28 working days after the test.
The computed total number of workdays excludes 5 Saturdays and Sundays and two (2) holidays — namely Chinese New Year (February 1) and EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary (February 25).

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. This is due to several factors such as the total number of examinees, effect of work cancellations due to calamities and unforeseen events and system of checking the pencil-based tests.
PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
During the First Batch of LET (September 2021), PRC released results in forty-seven (47) working days after the exam. A total of 4,883 elementary teachers out of 8,726 examinees (55.96%) and 10,318 secondary teachers out of 17,863 examinees (57.76%) successfully passed the exams. Cebu Technological University – Main was the lone top performing school in the Elementary Level while West Visayas State University – La Paz topped the schools in the Secondary Level.
In the last teacher’s board exam before the pandemic (September 2019), PRC announced results in fifty (50) working days. A total of 28,973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees (31.34%) and 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) successfully passed the exams. University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) – Tagum was the rank 1 top performing school in the Elementary Level while University of the Philippines – Los Banos (UPLB) dominated the Secondary level exams.
In the March 2019 LET, results were out online in forty-two (42) working days. The agency named 19,659 elementary teachers out of 72,054 examinees (27.28%) and 22,271 secondary teachers out of 85,823 examinees (25.95%) who passed the exams. USeP – Tagum also led the schools in Elementary Level while University of the Philippines – Diliman (UPD) earned highest spot in Secondary Level.
