WUXI, China, March 21, 2025 — The 2025 Wuxi “International Month” and International Cherry Blossom Viewing Week commenced on March 20th, drawing a large crowd of domestic and international attendees. The event signifies a new phase of international exchange and collaboration for Wuxi.

The “International Month” serves as a crucial platform to showcase Wuxi’s progress in modernization with Chinese characteristics and to encourage mutual openness and cooperation. Mayor Zhao also detailed Wuxi’s future development plans, including deeper integration into the Belt and Road Initiative, accelerated growth of emerging industries like cross-border e-commerce, and efforts to build a world-class business environment. Furthermore, Wuxi intends to expand international exchanges and cooperation in areas such as education and healthcare.
The Wuxi International Culture Association, a co-organizer of the event, announced that this year’s “International Month” will concentrate on three main themes: economy, consumption, and friendship. A total of 56 diverse events will be held, including the “Dialogue with Europe — Green Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Cooperation Forum” and the “China-Europe Tourism Cooperation Exchange.” These initiatives are designed to deepen international exchange and cooperation while maximizing the event’s branding, clustering, and lasting impact.
