SquareX Debuts Browser Security Solution at AISA Melbourne CyberCon 2024 “`

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 21, 2024 — SquareX, a leader in browser security, will debut at Melbourne CyberCon 2024 (AISA, November 26-28). At Startup Booth 42, SquareX will showcase its innovative Browser Detection and Response (BDR) solution, tackling the rising threat of browser-based attacks targeting employees.

Browsers, the most frequently used enterprise applications, are also the least protected. This vulnerability is amplified because endpoint security lacks browser visibility, and SASE/SSE solutions (like SWGs) miss user context and can’t detect client-side attacks solely through network traffic analysis.

SquareX’s browser-native protective layer directly operates within the browser. Utilizing rich data like browser DOM insights and user context, SquareX enables precise security policies to safeguard employees from web threats. To help organizations assess their security posture, SquareX launched a website detailing over 25 SWG bypass techniques for enterprises and vendors.

“Cyber threats are increasing globally and in Australia,” says Vivek Ramachandran, SquareX Founder and CEO, referencing the Australian Signals Directorate’s Cyber Threat Report 2022-2023. “Malicious cyber activity continues to endanger Australia’s security and prosperity.”

SquareX’s browser extension detects client-side attacks, prevents data loss, and secures access to private apps on unmanaged devices. “Our solution lets security teams immediately mitigate attacks and conduct organization-wide threat hunting,” adds Ramachandran.

On Wednesday, November 27 at 2 pm (AEST), SquareX Founder and Chief Architect will present a session on why SMEs and nonprofits should adopt native browser security, offering guidance on choosing solutions based on scalability, attack coverage, and cost.

At Booth 42, AISA Melbourne CyberCon, live demos will showcase SquareX’s BDR solution and its approach to addressing cybersecurity gaps.

Attendees can schedule a demo to meet the SquareX team this November.
