Munich, Feb. 13, 2025 — Sono Group N.V. (Sono Group) today announced two additions to its product line: solar kits designed for coach buses and panel vans. The company also unveiled a new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting feature integrated into its fleet dashboard, simplifying sustainability data tracking for customers.
Expanding on its existing Solar Bus Kit, Sono Group now offers a version specifically for coach buses, bringing solar energy benefits to long-distance travel. This kit reduces fuel consumption and emissions by using solar power for auxiliary systems. Available for aftermarket installation and direct order from major coach manufacturers, this integration marks a significant step in solar mobility. Sono Group is setting industry standards by meeting production-level requirements.
The updated Solar Truck and Van Kit complements Sono’s offerings with a solution tailored for panel vans, enhancing fleet operators’ solar technology adoption options.
Sono Group’s commitment to sustainability is further strengthened by the new ESG reporting feature in its fleet dashboard. This feature allows fleet operators to generate reports detailing solar energy generation (in kWh), fuel savings, and emissions reductions. This detailed data enables seamless integration of sustainability metrics into corporate ESG reports.
“This expansion highlights our dedication to accelerating solar-powered commercial transport,” said George O’Leary, Managing Director and CEO at Sono Group. “New solar kits for long-haul buses and panel vans, along with an ESG reporting tool, make solar mobility more accessible and effective.”
Sono Group continues to innovate in solar mobility, providing scalable, affordable solutions that deliver immediate cost savings and long-term sustainability advantages. The company plans to expand its solar portfolio and digital ecosystem to meet increasing demand for clean, data-driven fleet management.
