CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 11, 2025 — Prenetics Global Limited (NASDAQ: PRE), a leader in genomics and consumer healthcare, today announced a strategic partnership with Humanity Protocol, a decentralized identity verification platform. This collaboration uses Prenetics’ genetic testing technology to enhance decentralized identity verification.
Prenetics is integrating its CircleDNA platform into Humanity Protocol as an Identity Validator. This allows for the creation of blockchain-based Proof of Personhood credentials using DNA verification, providing highly secure and fraud-resistant identity confirmation. Advanced zero-knowledge proof technology ensures privacy while supporting various decentralized applications in finance, healthcare, and governance.
To support this partnership, and further innovation at the intersection of blockchain, healthcare, and DeSci, Prenetics has established a Crypto Strategic Reserve. This includes an initial investment of $1 million in $H tokens, $250,000 in Bitcoin (BTC), and $250,000 in Solana (SOL). These investments, subject to quarterly review, represent Prenetics’ new digital asset investment strategy. As of December 31, 2024, Prenetics held $84.87 million in cash and short-term assets, demonstrating its financial capacity for these endeavors.
