JINHUA, CHINA, May 01, 2025 — Kandi Technologies Group, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: KNDI) (“Kandi” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer of electric personal transportation and utility vehicles, today announced the official opening of its Garland, Texas manufacturing plant. The first electric golf cart made in the U.S. has been produced, marking a significant step in Kandi’s “Made in North America” plan and a crucial advancement in the Company’s U.S. expansion strategy.
According to Feng Chen, CEO of Kandi Technologies, the Texas facility’s launch places Kandi among the few electric off-road vehicle manufacturers with local production in North America. He added that having U.S.-based production greatly improves the company’s operational efficiency, cuts down on delivery times, and allows them to better serve customers with high-quality electric off-road vehicles, creating a strong base for future growth and innovation in the U.S. market.
The Garland facility, located on a 4.56-acre property, has about 74,758 square feet of space. It can produce Kandi’s entire line of electric off-road vehicles, including UTVs and other recreational vehicles.
The facility’s strategic position in the Dallas metropolitan area improves Kandi’s distribution capabilities by enabling faster delivery and better customer service. The Company anticipates that increasing its U.S. production capacity will improve its competitiveness and overall operational effectiveness in the North American market.
Kandi previously announced a collaboration with CBAK Energy Technology to build two lithium battery production facilities in the United States as part of its larger localization plan, further increasing its domestic manufacturing presence.
