Xingyi, China, Sept. 28, 2024 — The International Mountain Tourism Alliance successfully hosted the “8-9.00 Sharing Session” on September 26th in Xingyi, Guizhou. The event, themed “new generation and creativity of mountain tourism,” brought together industry leaders, young talent, and cultural scholars to explore the future of mountain tourism and the role of the new generation in its development.
A diverse group of guests shared their insights. Peng Xixi, rotating chairman of Guizhou “Village Super League” Brand Management Co., Ltd., discussed the unique appeal and brand management of Guizhou “Village Super League,” emphasizing how innovation drives the attractiveness and competitiveness of rural tourism. Luo Runzhou, a new media influencer with over 500 million readers and 35 million followers, highlighted the use of the internet and social media to promote mountain tourism. As co-founder and CEO of Hunzhi Culture, Luo Runzhou also presented the new work of the Hunzhi Comics team, “How Village Super League was Tempered,” attracting a young audience.
Xu Li, Vice General Manager of Shanghai Grand World, shared her extensive experience in immersive performing arts, innovative spaces for performing arts, and cultural digitization. She emphasized how digital tools and new media strategies can effectively attract young customers and inject new energy and creativity into mountain tourism. Wei Heng, founder of PlayPro Boat Sports Club, has dedicated himself to creating a comprehensive “mountain+tourism+quality education” service model. His club designs phenomenal sports tourism events and boutique routes to cater to the modern urban population’s demand for sports and leisure.
Cao Cong, an investment and financing expert at Bojian Capital, analyzed mountain tourism financing strategies and the operational experience of mountain homestays from a capital perspective, providing valuable financial insights to attendees.
German internet celebrity Robert dolf shared the international trend of mountain tourism and the significance of cultural exchange from an international perspective, offering a global outlook to the audience. Yang Lei, a REits business expert, demonstrated how asset securitization promotes the sustainable development of mountain tourism projects, drawing on practical examples.
During the interactive session, attendees engaged in lively discussions on “new generation and creativity in mountain tourism.” The consensus was that the new generation, as the future workforce, plays a crucial role in the innovative development of mountain tourism. They possess innovative thinking, sharp market insight, and an ability to leverage the internet and new technologies to enhance tourism experiences and service quality.
The session also included an exhibition showcasing the unique products and cultural creativity of Guizhou’s mountain tourism. Zhang Anqi, manager of Huayang River in Guizhou, drew widespread attention with her rural agricultural tourism products. The natural flavors, free of additives, received praise from guests.
Senior researcher Pan Zirun (Canglang) from the ancient city and well-known blogger Yang Tian, with millions of followers, also shared their insights. Pan Zirun emphasized the vital role of mountain tourism in promoting cultural heritage protection from the perspective of ancient city conservation and cultural inheritance. Yang Tian, drawing on his experience in sports and history, shared how cross-border collaboration enhances the cultural depth and appeal of mountain tourism.
