Fujifilm Introduces New Double Balloon Endoscope, Marking 20 Years of DBE in Europe

A NEW ERA IN DOUBLE BALLOON ENDOSCOPY

RATINGEN, Germany, Oct. 22, 2024 — Fujifilm Healthcare is pleased to announce the launch of the new EN-840T DBE Endoscope in Europe on October 12, 2024. Developed in collaboration with renowned medical device inventor Professor Hironori Yamamoto, this new endoscope marks a significant advancement in the field of double balloon enteroscopy (DBE).

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INVENTOR OF DBE

Professor Hironori Yamamoto, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, at Jichi Medical University in Tochigi, Japan, is the inventor of Double Balloon Endoscopy. Fujifilm’s collaboration with Prof. Yamamoto has resulted in a range of endoscopes designed to address the challenges faced by healthcare professionals during endoscopy procedures.
