SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 16, 2024 — BYD expanded its partner program for energy storage solutions. A partner conference at BYD headquarters in November 2024 provided a platform for partners to share experiences, interact with the technical team, and get an exclusive preview of new products and features.
BYD’s commitment to continuous R&D investment and advanced production ensures energy storage solutions are innovative, safe, and cost-effective, according to Yin Xiaoqiang, GM of BYD Energy Storage. He highlighted the importance of regular partner meetings to gather feedback and improve solutions for the efficient use and storage of renewable energy.
The conference aimed to understand current market challenges and how BYD’s solutions could help. Key findings included:
- Wholesalers and installers noted customer hesitation in investing in PV technology due to current market conditions.
- The BatteryBox series has proven successful in attracting customers, as PV and energy storage become increasingly integrated.
- The high charging power of BYD BatteryBox systems offers a significant advantage, particularly given trends like bidirectional charging and dynamic electricity pricing.
The conference also showcased upcoming products and features. In addition to the conference and a headquarters tour, partners visited a state-of-the-art BYD production facility in Nanning. Operational since May 2023, this facility handles everything from raw materials to finished products, encompassing a 55GWh production base for energy storage cells and systems.
