Since introducing its first RISC-V product in 2018, the company has achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.7%, solidifying its position in the RISC-V market.
Consistent Revenue Growth and Expanded Market Presence
Andes continues to see strong revenue gains in both licensing and royalties, driven by the increasing adoption of its RISC-V processor IP.
- License Revenue increased by 38.4% compared to the previous year, indicating strong customer acceptance.
- Royalty Revenue rose by 25.0% year-over-year, reflecting the widespread use of Andes-powered chips, with over 16 billion units now shipped.
Taiwan (38%) and the United States (31%) remain Andes’ largest markets geographically, with China (23%) and other regions contributing to the company’s global expansion.
Andes Expands RISC-V Leadership in AI and Automotive Sectors
AI is the leading application sector, followed by consumer electronics, IoT, and automotive.
AI is now a significant growth engine for Andes, contributing 38% of the company’s revenue. Andes is well-positioned to address the demands of AI with its high-performance vector processors and ACE (Andes’ Automated Custom Extensions). ACE allows Andes’ customers to easily customize their Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) to achieve superior performance and power efficiency while maintaining flexibility and ease of use. Over 80% of Andes’ AI customers utilize this capability to differentiate their offerings. Key AI customers include Axelera AI, Fractile AI, Meta, RAIN AI, and Rivos Inc, among others. Furthermore, Deep Computing launched the world’s first RISC-V AI PC, which is powered by Andes’ 7nm Qilai SoC.
In addition, automotive revenue has increased 2.6 times, reflecting Andes’ investment in ISO 26262 certified IPs and the growing use of RISC-V in safety-critical systems. Andes has added a major US Integrated Device Manufacturer and MetaSilicon to its customer list for its automotive-certified IPs.
