Two students sustained injuries in a shooting incident at a Colorado high school on Wednesday, after another student discharged a firearm.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis in a statement shared on social media, conveyed that he and the community were “devastated” by the attack, and were holding the victims in their thoughts.
“My deepest sympathies are with the victims of the Evergreen shooting and their families as they contend with this unprovoked act of violence,” he stated. “Such brutality is unacceptable in Colorado, particularly within our schools, which ought to be secure environments for children’s learning and development. No family should ever experience dread for their child’s safety when sending them to school.”
