TIME Studios and Circle Announce a New Docuseries Titled The Culture of Currency with Wyclef Jean

The Four-Part Documentary Series Explores the Intersection of Culture and Human-Centered Financial Innovation

TIME Studios, collaborating with Circle Internet Group, Inc (NYSE:CRCL)—a leading global internet financial platform company—has announced The Culture of Currency with Wyclef Jean, a new four-part documentary series that examines how identity, creativity, and financial innovation are reshaping communities worldwide. Unveiled on Monday at the TIME100 Davos Dinner during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the series is set to premiere later in 2026.

In the series, Grammy-winning artist, producer, and composer Wyclef Jean, who serves as Circle’s Global Culture Advisor, travels through marketplaces, music scenes, and grassroots communities to uncover how people across the globe—from Argentina and Turkey to Brazil and South Korea—are using stablecoins as a tool for connection, creativity, and financial prosperity. Through immersive, on-the-ground storytelling and intimate conversations, The Culture of Currency with Wyclef Jean introduces audiences to stablecoin innovations that are transforming participation in the global economy—and why change often begins in unexpected places.

“As the future of money continues to evolve at an extraordinary pace, we aimed to tell a global, deeply human story about what this transition feels like in real-world settings,” said Ben Bitonti, President of TIME Studios. “Collaborating with Wyclef and Circle allows us to explore culture, creativity, and financial innovation through a lens that is both intimate and far-reaching—reflecting TIME Studios’ commitment to award-winning content that pushes the boundaries of nonfiction storytelling.”

“Working with Circle, I’ve seen firsthand how stablecoin technology is creating new financial opportunities and connecting communities worldwide,” said Wyclef Jean. “This new docuseries with TIME Studios aims to make that technology tangible, moving it from headlines into everyday life, and showing how stablecoins are driving creativity, commerce, connection, and a more inclusive future.”

The Culture of Currency with Wyclef Jean tells a deeply human story about how money and our broader economic systems are evolving—not as an abstract technology, but as a lived experience,” said Tim Queenan, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Circle. “Through real people and real communities, the series demonstrates how stablecoins like USDC and blockchain technology are becoming tools for creativity, connection, and economic agency. Partnering with Wyclef and TIME Studios allows us to explore how open financial infrastructure can expand participation in the global economy and what becomes possible when it does.”

The series will be executive produced by TIME Studios and Circle. Leveraging its global focus, each episode will be directed by a local filmmaker in the country where filming takes place.

Short-form, social-first companion content will extend the storytelling beyond the core episodes, featuring behind-the-scenes footage from on-set filming alongside insights into how stablecoins play a key role in supporting the cultural movements shaping the world.

The Culture of Currency with Wyclef Jean builds on TIME Studios’ expanding portfolio of acclaimed branded entertainment, which includes award-winning collaborations that merge premium filmmaking with mission-driven partners. The project reflects TIME Studios’ ongoing strategy to bring ambitious, culturally resonant stories to global audiences through innovative partnerships.
