Longquan Ink Paste Featured in Latest “Jiangsu Culture” Micro-Documentary

CHANGZHOU, China, July 25, 2024 — The “Jiangsu Culture” series micro-documentary, produced by the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, has released its thirteenth episode in July: Longquan Ink Paste.

Known as one of China’s three great ink treasures, Longquan ink paste, produced in Changzhou City, is a Jiangsu provincial intangible cultural heritage. Its intricate craftsmanship ensures that the ink retains its color for centuries, earning it the title “worth its weight in gold.” It’s lauded for its ability to resist winter’s chill, summer’s heat, water, and fire.
